WGI Certify Level 300 – The Circuit Judge-General Effect

This course offers in-depth caption-specific training at the WGI A class level, and lays the conceptual foundation for the Open and World classes. Each student chooses only one caption track at a time.  A circuit mentor will be a part of Level 300 beginning at Lesson 340 Circuit Practicum, Mentor Evaluation and Certification.  Circuits will have the option of choosing an overall mentor for all captions or an individual mentor for each caption.  Students will also have the option of completing Lesson 340 Practicum, Mentor Evaluation and Certification through a WGI Certify mentor for an additional fee.

 COURSE LEVEL 300:  THE CIRCUIT JUDGE courses include:

• PRELIMINARY TO ENROLLMENT – Have I chosen the right caption for me?
• LESSON 300:  Practical strategies for broadening recognition and commentary skills.   
• LESSON 310:  WGI’s approach to Analysis, Comparison and Scoring
• LESSON 320:  Caption Specific:  Commentary, analysis, comparison, and scoring practice – with self-evaluation.
• LESSON 330:  Introduction to Contest and Season Dynamics.
• LESSON 340:  Circuit Practicum, Mentor Evaluation and Certification

Upon completion of  Lessons 300 through 330, (online coursework) and final examination, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion for Level 300 Coursework and will be eligible to move on to Lesson 340  – Circuit Practicum, Mentor Evaluation and Certification.

Upon completion of Lesson 340  – Circuit Practicum, Mentor Evaluation and Certification, the student will be eligible to be confirmed by their mentor as a WGI Certified-Circuit Judge.  The student will receive a certification document verifying this status and will be listed as a WGI Certified-Circuit Judge.
